LOCAL YOUTH PARTICIPATION

During the Midland Area River Days festival on Saturday, August 5, 2023, our Rivers are Life booth offered attendees the opportunity to personally create monofilament bins. To add to the festive atmosphere, we also had a face painter and giveaways. These 50 monofilament bins, created with the assistance of Cash Daniels and festival attendees, were strategically placed across the Great Lakes Bay region. Local collaborators committed to maintaining these bins, ensuring that anglers have a dedicated and proper disposal point for fishing waste in the years to come. Together, we are making a positive impact on the environment and promoting responsible angling practices in Midland and Bay City, Michigan.
