CELEBRATING EARTH DAY WITH WAYPOINT TV
This Earth Day, we're partnering with Waypoint TV to showcase some of the inspiring River Heroes we've had a chance to spotlight over the years.
Through this partnership, we're aiming to raise $50,000 for our River Action Impact Fund. By making a donation, YOU are helping conserve our world's rivers.
GOAL: $50,000

CLEAN UP MCKELLAR LAKE
Living Lands & Waters hosts an "Alternative Spring Break" each year, where college students from all across the country come together to clean up McKellar Lake. So far, they’ve partnered with more than 2,500 students from across the country, successfully removing over 1.7 million pounds of trash!
Thank you to our partners:

GOAL: $50,000 - FULLY FUNDED!
STREAM SAMPLING
Twice a year, the Little Forks Conservancy monitors the Cedar River with volunteer citizen scientists to help determine water quality. Through this program, a public monitoring event is held in Gladwin, Michigan where teams of volunteers visit 6 sites along the Cedar River to collect macroinvertebrates.
This event includes education on these water systems and macroinvertebrates, volunteer data collection in the field, and a lunch provided for attendees. Additionally, an identification event is held the week following data collection, to document the macroinvertebrates collected and determine the water quality rating of the sites monitored.
GOAL: $20,000

TROUT UNLIMITED EXPEDITIONS
Trout Unlimited Expeditions are place-based experiences for teens and college students to volunteer and educate themselves on local watershed issues and the importance of cleaning up our rivers.
This year, Trout Unlimited will host three Expeditions on the Klamath River in Oregon to inspire a diverse coalition of staff and volunteers to care, advocate for, and revive lands and waters that have been negatively impacted.
With your support, Rivers are Life will be the official cleanup sponsor, providing a monetary donation as well as cleanup kits for each expedition to be sure attendees are properly equipped to improve the river ecosystems they are inhabiting for the week.
GOAL: $37,000
